Georgetown Narrow Gauge Scenic Railway, Mine, & Luncheon Tour

Depart Denver for a beautiful historic gold and silver mining community nestled in a high mountain valley rimmed by soaring rocky peaks and full of impeccably restored Victorian homes and buildings. Upon arrival, a special journey into yesterday awaits aboard this Narrow Gauge Loop Railroad. Climbing into forested slopes over a breathtaking trestle and passing through dramatic rock formations along with groves of pine and aspen trees, this enchanting narrow gauge steam railroad is an exciting step back in time.

Ever wonder what it was like to be a hard rock miner in the Colorado Rockies? Get answers to your questions with a tour of the Lebanon Silver Mine. Colorado Historical Society guides will lead you through the mine, show you the mine manager's office, the change room (also called a "dry"), and the blacksmith shop and tool shed.

If time permits we'll make a stop to into Georgetown to visit the Hotel de Paris and Hamill House, both listed on the National Register. Georgetown also offers a variety of unique shops and galleries to explore and is gateway to the Guanella Pass Scenic Byway.
